Ricardo- Road to recovery

Donation protected
On May 14, 2019 our Dad celebrated his 60th birthday surrounded by the people he loves most, his family and friends. A few weeks later, in the early morning of June 1st, our Dad unknowingly had a stroke during his sleep. He was rushed to the hospital where they confirmed that he indeed had a vertebral artery stroke (what the doctors called a unicorn stroke since it was extremely rare). His first words to the doctor were: “Doctor, I just want you to know that I’m going to fight this.” Fast forward to today, our Dad had yet another stroke in the same area and emergency cerebral surgery. He had a tough couple of weeks in the ICU, where he was eventually moved to rehab. He will stay in rehabilitation for a while, as they are working on physical therapy, occupational therapy, and motor skills. The money that we will be raising will be to help pay for the extensive medical/rehabilitation bills that have already accumulated and continue to accrue. He has devoted his life to being nothing short of a wonderful and supportive husband, a loving and understanding father, and recently, a playful and outstanding grandfather. He is surrounded by so much family that adores him and we are so thankful to all of you for your well wishes and undeniable support.
