Ricards Rugby Academy Fundraiser
Donation protected
Ricards Rugby Academy is an U18 rugby academy which gives girls a pathway into playing rugby at a higher level (regionally, Player Development Groups and beyond). The academy is housed within the Ricards Lodge High School sixth form known as RR6.
The unique nature of the academy means that players do not need to pay for the education and training they are receiving. The academy aims to remove the need to leave home for many young women, and gives access to high level performance coaching that is otherwise not accessible to them.
For many young women, the opportunities to play rugby at a higher level is hampered by the financial constraints that face them when they reach the U18 level. This is due to the fact that girls who want to play in an academy have to pay for accommodation and travel which is for many, unaffordable.
Ricards Rugby Academy aims to give those girls the opportunity to develop their rugby, stay at home and gain a fantastic education.
This is a brand new venture which is receiving no funding. Therefore we need to raise funds to make sure our new players can play and train with the equipment and kit they need to improve their game.
