Rice for Bata

Donation protected
Rice for Bata, or if in English, Rice for Children, is a fund to provide support for nourishment of children in the small village of Tag-ibo on Siquijor Island in the Philippines where I live.  By nourishment I mean educational opportunity as well as physical nourishment.  I am an educator and teacher by profession so wanted to make a difference for children here.   Therefore my primary endeavor has been support of the village's elementary school and its students.

So far I have personally funded the construction of functional toilets, a shaded multi-purpose open air venue for school ceremonies, events and meetings, rice distribution to families during the quarantine/lockdown period, materials for learning modules during lockdown, and safety measures for the physical facilities.  I've extended my support to an adjacent village to support construction of a venue for healthy foods for the students and a shaded multipurpose space.

The peso/dollar conversion allows relatively small amounts of American dollars to provide very large differences in the quality of lives and education of these children.  Now I am asking you to join me in making a difference here.  100% of the funds I receive from this GoFundMe effort will go directly to the needs of these students and those in adjacent villages.  A little book I published  entitled "The Physics of Qi" on Amazon also has all proceeds going directly to this effort.
