Rich City Rides' Mobile Bike Repair
On September 1st, 2020, someone vandalized the Rich City Rides service van. Not pretty. A total 2020. We’re sure the vandals did not know it was our van – we love our community, and we know our community loves us.
We are now raising money to repair the damage. We are going to wrap it in our logo, so everyone will know that it's us, and we are going to use the proceeds from the fundraiser to outfit the van with tools and equipment to bring our bicycle repair program to schools, parks, and community centers.
Help us turn a tragedy into a triumph and take our van to the next level, expanding our reach and service to the community.
Who are we!
Rich City Rides is a nonprofit organization determined to uplift our community and save our environment.
Rich City Rides is a nonprofit community organization. Our youth bike club and fantastic team of volunteers distributed thousands of meals throughout the pandemic. We use the van for camping and day trips in collaboration with East Bay Regional Parks. Rich City Rides is the hub of the wheel of a growing, diverse, inclusive, healthy, and vibrant community dedicated to seeing our neighborhoods bloom. We provide park stewardship, youth programs, free bicycle repair workshops, and on-the-road bicycle celebrations that invite people to experience the joy of riding a bike and encourage them to use it as an alternative to driving. The community we are creating is cohesive and transcends age, race, ethnicity, income, and neighborhood. Through our work, we use bicycles as vehicles for healthy civic change.
