Rich Cordova cure for cancer
Donation protected
Rich and I met in June of 2017 and all for the better he has been such a blessing in my life. Shortly after we met, Rich was diagnosed in February of 2018 with blood clots in the aorta and also with heart failure. Although the in the early relationship we were already facing turmoil that was very unexpected but we were going to push through and put this behind us. Well, as life has a way of twists and turns, in July of 2019 Rich was then diagnosed with Basal Carcinoma which is a form of cancer and this was on his head. We took the bull by the horns and yet again grounded our feet so we could prepare for another battle with the positive beliefs that we would again push through this.
As time went on we believed that Rich had once again beat the odds and were ready to put it all behind us. Well, as life has a way of testing our strength and faith once again to our dismay Rich was diagnosed on April 21st 2020 with Esophagus Cancer which is a very rare form of cancer, especially with his lifestyle of a non drinker and non smoker. Up to that point he had already lost 24 pounds. The last day Rich was able to work was on April 27th because he was hospitalized for malnourishment and dehydration. On April 29th they had to do surgery to place a J-tube for feeding and by this point he had a total weight loss of 35 pounds. Finally, on May 4th Rich was able to return home with a strict regimen of medical treatments to prepare for his Chemo and Radiation treatments that will begin next Monday on May 11th for the next 6-8 weeks.
I will continue to be by his side every step of the way. While I am caring for him our home will have to be locked down as his immune system will be fragile, and during this time with the social security/disability office being closed our application will be delayed and as of now there we will be no income for our family, and with the mounting medical bills as well as prescriptions and normal bills we will need as much financial assistance as possible, every little bit will go a long way and make a big difference for us.
We know that this is a tough and trying time for all of us with the COVID-19 pandemic and any Financial, Love and Positive Support is greatly appreciated. I will keep everyone updated through the Go Fund me page on Rich's progress please feel free to share if you would like.
God Bless everyone for your kindness and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the love and support that we have already received and will continue to receive through this difficult time.
Thank you,
The Cordova Family
