Rich Swirsky Memorial Park
Rich grew up catching tadpoles and other creatures in Cleveland Heights. Throughout his life, he created many gardens personally and helped many more come to fruition. His love for the natural world infused every part of his life.
As a memorial, we thought it would be fitting to design a beautiful garden in the triangle park at the corner of N. Highland and Edgerton. Costs will cover a picnic table, benches, native trees, perennials and other vegetation, as well as a metal sculpture by Megan Shane. His niece, Leah Heiser of Keep Akron Beautiful, will be designing the garden's layout.
Any leftover funds will go towards improvements to other neighborhood parks/gardens.
