In loving memory of Richard Aston.

It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of our dear friend and colleague, Richard Aston, on Saturday, 8th March 2025.

Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his father, Arthur, his mother, Sue, his wife, Claire, his two young sons, Harry and Jack, his long-time colleague, Graham, and the entire work family.

A devoted father and husband, Richard always put his family first, providing a strong, supportive presence for his wife and children and nurturing a close and loving bond with his parents.

Richard began his journey with Carfax at the young age of 19, working alongside his father, Arthur. Together, they formed one of the most special father-son dynamics in the business. After Arthur’s retirement in 2023, Richard took the helm as manager, continuing the legacy of care and dedication that was the hallmark of their work.

A true gentleman, Richard was known for his kindness, patience, and generosity. He was always quick to share a smile, a joke, or lend a helping hand. His dedication to his customers was unwavering, and his support for his colleagues was unmatched. Richard's willingness to go above and beyond was evident in everything he did.

We mourn the loss of such a remarkable person, Richard's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed more than words can express, but he will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Richard. You have left an indelible mark on all of us.
