Richard Barela's Celebration of Life

This is Richard Barela. He passed unexpectedly last week. If you were fortunate enough to have known him, you would know how amazing he really was.

One of Ricky's most memorable features was his smile. As his big brother Daniel described it, "I’m going to miss that big cheesy smile of yours, Brother. It lit up any room you walked into." And I'm sure everyone would agree. Ricky was so full of life and was eager to go out and do all the things he enjoyed without hesitation. He enjoyed concerts, amusement parks, scary movies, food and sweets. Ricky enjoyed all of these things, but most of all he enjoyed these things while making memories with his loved ones. His adventures weren't only to bring himself joy, but also to bring joy to those around him. His big sister Andrea shared a memory of a concert he surprised her with, and how he watched her, just to see the excitement in her face as she enjoyed the experience. This is only a glimpse of Ricky's heart. He had a giving heart for not only those he knew and loved, but also for those who were in need.
