Haunted by his experiences in Iraq, Marine veteran Richard Casper found an outlet for his pain through creating visual art and music. Looking for a way to share this with other combat veterans trying to process their trauma, he founded CreatiVets in 2013. The organization’s art and songwriting programs have since helped more than 900 veterans tell their story and work through their pain while creating art pieces and writing and recording music with accomplished Nashville musicians.
