Richard corrigan, The best father and grandfather xx

Hi my name is Joanna corrigan, the daughter of Richard corrigan who sadly passed away Tuesday the 18th of June 2024 from secondary lung cancer, Dad passed away peacefully at St barnabas hospice where he was being treated. Richard had a shock diagnosis in March following a spell of feeling unwell, unfortunately due to having no reserves he was told having any treatment would be detrimental to the little time he had left. This diagnosis had left his family and friends devastated, Richard was very much loved by many people and his humorous posts on Facebook will be greatly missed, often putting a smile on many faces with his wicked sense of humour and vast knowledge of football. Richard played semi professional football for whitehawk where he met many great friends who remained in touch throughout his life and organised get togethers to celebrate their friendships and achievements. Richard was also a proud grandfather to his grandsons Alfie and George and a proud cat dad to Lenox, Primo,Stevie and Marmsey. His pets were always a big part of his life including Rocky our german shepherd who dad shared a special bond with. Richard wanted a good send off and we as a family would like to appeal for any donations big or small to give him the send off he deserves. Lastly I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to read this message and join us in remembering what an amazing man Richard was. Rest in peace to the best dad I could ever ask for love you lots. Xxxx
