Remembering Richard Heleniak
Richie Heleniak, 59, of Austin, Texas passed away on June 14, 2019. He died doing one of his favorite things- riding his mountain bike.
He was the loving husband of Heather for almost 25 years and an extremely proud father of Claire (sophomore at Texas State) and Ben (junior at Austin High).
Richie was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on November 23, 1959.
He was survived by his mother, Patricia Forbes, his father Dr. Roman Heleniak, and his sister, Catherine Tijerino.
Everyone who knew Richie knows he was the kindest and gentlest soul. He had an incredible sense of humor, hilarious sayings, and guaranteed calm in any situation. He loved spending time with his family, mountain biking, motocross, sailing, Saints, and his dog NOLA. He was an incredible chef and threw the best crawfish boils (not crayfish)!
He will be greatly missed.
Funds raised will go toward funeral expenses and scholarship money for Claire and Ben.
