Richard Ledbetter Sr., Father, Brother, & Friend

Hello everyone, my name is Hannah and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Beth Carey, Rick's twin sister (pictured left).

Rick was the Sun itself. Anyone who knew Rick could tell you how radiant he was, how there was never a dull moment with him. You just couldn't help but love him. My mother grew up with Beth and Rick, forming a circle of friends who over the years became family -- my family. Now, there's a void left where he once was, where the only comfort we have is in the memories we each had the pleasure to share with such a beautiful soul.

Rick is survived by his two adolescent sons Richard Jr. and Justin, a grandson, a sister, many nieces and nephews, his close friends, my mother, and me. It is truly devastating that he will never get to watch each of us grow into our own or to celebrate our memory as we move on to the next life when the time comes.

The very least that we can do for Rick is to provide the respect of a proper goodbye. All funds that are raised will go directly towards the cost of a cremation and any additional or hidden costs, such as urns. We are still in the process of determining a service date, which is primarily dependent on the funds we are able to raise. We loved ones are doing our best to take away as much burden as possible from Beth and from Rick's sons, so that they may grieve his death in peace.
