Reception and cremation costs for Richard Mercer

Hi I’m Alexis, and I am Richard Jr’s fiancée, Richard Sr daughter in law.

It is with heavy hearts that I share the news of Richard mercer (Rick) passing due to serious health conditions. I am reaching out to our friends,family, and community during one of the most difficult times of our life to help his immediate family through this difficult time and unexpected expenses, reception, urns for cremation, as well as any other costs related to such event to lift some weight off there shoulders. Rick has been fighting some serious health conditions the last year he has been in and out of the hospital one of the many health conditions he recently found out about was colon cancer, he’s had multiple surgery’s within the last year. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions trying to figure out what they could do to help him as he was in a lot of pain. January 29th Richard Jr got a call from university hospital stating he was in an induced coma because of Congestive heart failure after a few days they said he was doing a bit better and they were going to bring him out of the coma, he was eventually stable and actively awake and a week later was sent home but unfortunately on February 9th 2025 Rick had passed due to a heart attack and was determined by the coroner he was in no shape to be sent home.

Last year rick had lost his whole world Mercia (mother) to cancer and they have been battling with the loss of her and her expenses to try and save her house now it is all up to his son to make these arrangements

Anybody that knew Rick knew him for his big heart and his love for those around him, Rick always made sure to help everybody he could no matter the situation and was always the first person to take the shirt off his back to make sure others didn’t go without, was always someone that everyone around him could count on and for those of you that don't know him, this paragraph can never truly explain just how amazing of a person he was for those lucky enough to of known him. I am going to be getting urns/keepsakes for his grandchildren as he is leaving behind 3 grandchildren under 10 that he loved deeply and would do anything for them.
