Richard Snuggs

Richard Snuggs has loved Greenbrier for the last 31 years. Everybody knows him. People have depended on him for countless tasks from lawn mowing or jump-starting a vehicle to providing a friendly smile at Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene and calling out a hearty welcome at the auto parts store/Whit Davis. Who could ever forget his energy and enthusiasm as he led the crowded stands on Friday nights: “THAT’S ANOTHER GREENBRIER PANTHER FIRST DOWN!” Richard served on the Greenbrier Planning Commission and 8 years on the Greenbrier City Council. He has dedicated his life to Greenbrier since he moved here, fell in love, and started a family in 1991. He has been there for the community of Greenbrier, his church family, and his extended family. You can always count on him!

Now, with humble and hopeful hearts, our family and Richard ask for your prayers and support during this time.

Many of you have already heard that Richard has recently been diagnosed with severe prostate cancer. In October, he had surgery to remove a tumor from his bladder, and the recovery from the surgery–coupled with the effects of the cancer–has left him unable to work his regular schedule. As a result, there are some financial burdens emerging.

That is why we need your help. If you’re able, please consider donating $5, $10, or whatever amount you feel led to donate to help with the medical expenses, as well as funds to help fill in the gaps from his lost wages. Every penny donated will go to Richard. Prayers are free, and we appreciate those more than you could know.
