Richard Velez Memorial Fund

I write this to all of you with a sadden heart, and disbelief that on Friday March 22nd, 2019 our Colleague and Friend Richard Velez passed away due to a long battle with health issues. Richard 59; was a Marine, a Jets fan, and a honorable Father. He leaves behind a loving 22 year old daughter Alexandrea Velez who will be graduating in May. One of his last wishes was that he could make it to his daughters graduation. I would look at him “Every day and say Rich we are going to make it, and whatever I can do to help let me know”. I just wanted him to stay positive and keep fighting ya know. I never thought in a quick three weeks things would take a turn for the worst. With that said I feel like I owe it to him to make sure his daughter still gets that chance to walk across that stage and flourish in life like Rich wanted her to.
