Richard Stevenson/Adonijah Selassie
Donation protected
Hello all. I am Francine Stevenson LeFlore, the sister of Richard Stevenson / Adonijah Berhane Selassie. As many of you have already heard the sad news, Adonijah passed away on June 16,2016. My brother Ruben and I, as well as the rest of the family is devastated by this loss. We are now left with the arduous task of preparing our brother for burial in the country which he loved, knowing that we will not see him again in this world. We will respect his wishes and do what we know he would have wanted. Along with His US family, he left behind a family in Ethiopia consisting of 3 young children and their mother, who I consider to be my sister. We must now make sure that she and the children are taken care of. I have received messages from several people within the US and abroad asking if we need anything to be donated, and how they can help provide for the children. This fund has been set up to help with that. This money is for HIS family. His body is still at stay at Menelik II hospital in Addis Ababa as we are trying to get all paperwork taken care of here in the US so that the process can start to have Adonijah laid to rest in Shashemene, where he was baptized. This fund has been created to help with the expenses for Enu (Felekech), so that with my authorization she can take care of all that needs to be done for him. Please, those of you who have been asking for a fund to be set up, or how you can help, please make your donations here. And spread the word about the fund to all that you know loved Adonijah and his youth and who have wondered how they can help. Please share this on your pages so that we can make sure the funds are available for Enu as they are needed. Myself and another close friend of Adonijah have already made sure the family is ok for the upcoming days, but in the near future, we will need to provide for his family. Ruben and myself along with the rest of the family, thank you so much for any help that you are able to give. We ask that you continue to pray for the family and friends around the world who have been touched by the loss of this great man. I've been seeing some of the posts and the shares and I've had the opportunity to read some of the comments...I know my brother was loved and it warms my heart to know that he had an impact on so many people around the globe...not just in America. We ask for you continued prayers for strength during this time. Thank you.
