Richard’s Garden
Donation protected
In March 2017 whilst out for a training run for the Leeds half marathon, Richard’s heart suddenly stopped and he collapsed. Luckily there was somebody nearby who gave him CPR and he was rushed into hospital.
Unfortunately as a result of his heart stopping Richards brain was starved of oxygen and he suffered serious brain damage which has left him disabled. He has spent the last 6 years in hospital and has needed 24 hour care since his accident.
Richard has made huge improvements over the last few years and his family are looking to continue his rehabilitation at home. The new property has been modified to suit Richards needs, however the garden needs a complete makeover to make it accessible and a stimulating space for Richard.
Your donations will go towards materials to make this garden possible. We’ll also be doing a sponsored chest wax with some of the team who will be helping create the garden and any remain donations in the pot will be given to Richard and his family.
Weather permitting this transformation will be taking place over a weekend in March, Good and Robert’s, PWP and other people are kindly donating their time to make this possible.
