Dear community members, the students from Richmond High School CLOSE UP Program are seeking the opportunity to participate in the 2016-2017 Washington D.C./New York trip. This innovative educational program is the nation's leading non-profit, non partisan civic education organization. While on the program, we will participate in a variety of hands-on activities such as small group workshops, seminars with journalists, lobbyists, embassy officals and members of congress. We will also visit and tour the Lincoln Memorial, MLK Memorial, the White House, the 9/11 Memorial, Central Park, Statue of Liberty and more. All of the participating students come from a diverse background with a desire to enhance their life experiences and educational goals. We as the future of tomorrow, would like to respectfully request your support to attend this once in a lifetime experience. Your monetary donation will be equally divided by all attending students to ensure an equal opportunity to attend.
