Rick and Beth Dill

Rick and Beth Dill have been dear friends since childhood.  I grew up with Beth from the time we were toddlers.  She has been with me through all of life's ups and downs and always a wonderful support in the very hard times.  I want to show that same support as she and Rick go through one of the most difficult times of their lives.  They have been waging a quiet battle since the spring of 2018 when Rick was diagnosed with 3TB locally metastatic prostate cancer.  When diagnosed he was told that his tumor was inoperable and that he would survive only 18 months to 2 years without treatment.  He immediately began to do extensive research for alternatives to the common treatments of chemotherapy and radiation.  Rick chose treatment at New Hope Unlimited in San Luis Mexico.  The treatment he has undergone has been very successful killing the metastatic portion of the cancer while also reducing the size of the "queen mother" tumor.  He has continued to be followed by his doctor here at home who is pleased with the results of his treatment at New Hope.  He tells Rick and Beth that he does not believe that the treatments can destroy the "queen mother" and  has recommended a procedure which will wipe out the remainder of the tumor.  This procedure has just recently been approved in the US, but the insurance companies consider it experimental and will not cover the cost of $30,000.  This denial of coverage is especially difficult as none of the treatments at New Hope or the travel to Mexico have been covered, so Rick and Beth have had the added stress of worrying about covering tens of thousands of dollars themselves already.  I hope and pray that by setting up this fundraiser, some of that stress can be relieved and that they can focus on the surgery scheduled for October 13th then recovery and return to a normal life.  Through all of these struggles their desire is that everyone pray that it is HIS will that this surgery is a success and that HE may be glorified.
