Support for Rick "Oldie" Chavez

Donation protected
As many of us know, Rick Chavez or Oldie started feeling ill on December 30th. He was taken by paramedics 1/10 at 1:30 am and admitted to the hospital shortly after to ICU. The following Tuesday morning, he was on 60 liters, and the Doctor requested the family to meet to discuss what’s next. It was decided, at that time, he would go on Ventilator if needed. By Thursday, they had to do an emergency Ventilator. He was on the ventilator for four days. He is having difficulty swallowing, so he can only eat certain foods. He is frail and will require 24/7 care to build his strength. Rick's insurance will provide home health care. Rick will need to pay for outside help and necessary equipment personally. Rick was only home for a few days when he was rushed back to the hospital/ICU with additional medical issues that are COVID-related issues. It will be a long road to recovery. Ricks's wish is to go home and do his rehab at home.

The family will work together to provide and hire the best possible care. If you are able and would like to donate to Rick's fund, it will be greatly appreciated.
