On December 29, 2023 our dear friend and loving family member Rick Dewitt passed away unexpectedly. First and foremost Rick was a loving and devoted father to his son Zack. Rick coached Zack along with the best of Ringwood’s little league baseball players. He loved his time in the dugouts and coaching those kids. Rick also had a passion for snow sports and always looked forward to snowboarding with Zack and his friends. Rick grew up in Elmwood Park and was always one of the popular kids in town. He settled down with his family in Ringwood where he became active in the Skyline Lakes community. He was involved in the Skyline Lakes dart league, cornhole league , he bartended and was elected director of the Clubhouse lounge. Rick was also known for his talents as a carpenter and started his own company called Dewitt Construction. Rick is responsible for most of the renovations of the Skyline Lakes Clubhouse, a place where he would form so many friendships over the years. He often spoke of his fond memories and lifelong friendships with members of the Reserve Club in Elmwood Park.
Obviously with an untimely passing comes financial strains and a challenging road for those left behind. If you are able, please make a donation in Rick's memory, we all know he would be generous if any of us needed similar help.
Thank You in advance and may our dearest Rick be at peace..
