I am making this request solely because I thought that the VA would take care of their soldier’s burial arrangements. However, I was offered a 10% of the cost for a simple cremation. Not only did this man fight for his country, but to everyone that knew him, he was the best kind of man that hardly exists these days. He was a loving caring husband, provider and had by far the best dad jokes you’ve never heard. None the less, he’s been fighting his illnesses for several years now, he’s currently in hospice with no insurance to cover his cremation. His last wish was to be cremated and have his ashes spread and his first baseball field where he hit his first home run. I know money is tight but every dollar helps.
