Help Rickey Roberson Rest in Peace & Power

A beloved father, brother, uncle, friend, son, nephew - depending on who he was in your life determined the name you called him. Family called him Slick, given to him by his grandfather when he was a baby. Friends know him as Richie. Fans know him as Richie Makaroni. His self-given alias was Richard... whatever special place he holds in your heart - these names all tell stories that could fill a library. Our dear Rickey lived a life so vibrant and full of energy he experienced more in his 41 years than anyone else living twice as long.

Yet, his life was taken from us too soon. We, his family, started this GoFundMe page because he had clearly stated his wish to be put to rest near where his mother is buried in Everett. His specific wishes require a total payment of $6,000 to be paid in full by 72 hours before the burial service. We need you, his friends, family, and loved ones to help us honor his end-of-life wishes with honor, dignity, compassion, and love.

Rickey suffered a heart attack on Saturday, January 27th and despite EMTs best efforts to revive him, the length of time it took to do so left our beloved on assisted breathing devices with no detectable brain activity. The doctors told us to prepare ourselves that he may not make it more than a couple of days. We prayed. We refused to give up, but unfortunately, his body couldn't fight any longer and he passed away on Thursday, February 1st at 1pm.

Time is becoming a concern, as we have yet to be able to come up with how much it will cost to give him the burial and service we have pledged to give him. If you can help, no amount is too little. Give our beloved Leo legend the going-out-in-style celebration of life we all know he would applaud.
