On July 27th, 2020, Ricki Sawyer unexpectedly passed away at her home in Monticello, Ga. She leaves behind her loving Husband, Stephen and five beautiful children Sammy (22), Ronald (20), Kalie (18), Cohen (14), and Harrison (14.)
Ricki was truly one of a kind, anyone who knew her saw the spark she brought to this world. She was extremely generous, compassionate, reliable, selfless, witty and persistent in the most beautiful way. Determined isn't a big enough word to describe her never ending drive for life. She never met a stranger, was always kind and friendly to anyone that came in her path. Even though life threw more curve balls at her than anyone should ever have to endure, Ricki never let it get her down. She always wore her biggest smile, lighting up every room she walked into and brightening everyone’s day. She lived a fast-paced life and lived it to the fullest, always wanting to get the most out of each day with and for her family.
Ricki was a lover. The kind of love you knew could move mountains–you would think she hung the moon. Unquestionably the glue that held the family together, she was unbelievably attentive and caring to everyone in her family. We are all so grateful that we were lucky to witness such love even for a short amount of time.
As a faithful and devoted wife to Stephen, their love was that 'all in' kind of love that most never get to witness in life. They shared the same passion of caring for their kids and building their business from the ground up.
When Ricki became a mother for the first time at the young age of 16 years old, it was clear right away that she was put on this earth to be a mom. Almost immediately a switch went off in her head and her life was no longer hers, but for her child, which excitingly led her into giving birth to 4 more beautiful children. Ricki gave up a lot of her childhood to be a mother, something she never regretted and making her one focus in life: to provide for her children all the love she possessed. She lived and breathed for all five of her children–being a mother was her greatest joy.
We are completely heartbroken. Ricki will be profoundly missed and never forgotten.
This campaign is set up by her sister, with the consent of the entire family and in response to many requests for those looking to help Ricki’s family. The money raised will help alleviate the burden of her sudden passing and will directly support Ricki’s children’s education, well-being and future.
