Rick's 2023 Marathon Fund

Donation protected
Hi all,

This year I will be running my 5th & 6th & 7th Marathons, beginning with the Berlin Marathon for Highwatch Recovery Center on September 24th, the NYC Marathon for the Release Recovery Foundation on November 5th and lastly the London Marathon on April 21st for the Release Recovery Foundation. These two amazing nonprofits dedicate all proceeds to providing lifesaving scholarships for addiction and mental health treatment. Please help me help others receive a scholarship that could change the course of their lives forever.

Many of you know I have been in recovery from drugs and alcohol for 8 years. Combining my love of running with my passion for helping others has been a pillar in my life. Treatment gave me the tools I needed to build a foundation for a life worth living. Quality treatment is not accessible to everyone, these foundations make it possible.

Addiction and mental health diagnoses don't discriminate, I've seen it take lives and destroy the will to live. But we don't have to suffer! Life-changing treatment exists. I help people get the care they deserve. There is no shame in reaching out for help. Reach back with me.

My goal is to raise 15k. Please consider donating. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will change a life.

I will burn the pavement; you help me get to the starting line.

Release Recovery Foundation

The Release Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to ensuring all who are ready and willing to seek professional treatment, are able. Substance Use Disorder and mental illness destroy the lives of too many people from underserved communities who may not have the resources for proven treatments. The Release Foundation offers scholarships to bridge the gap between what people can afford and what they need to transform their lives, regardless of race, gender, and/or sexual orientation.

Highwatch Recovery Center

High Watch Recovery Center is dedicated to seeing the disease of addiction go into remission for each individual who passes through our door. The caring team at High Watch provides compassionate care to every patient. We integrate the latest breakthroughs in addiction medicine alongside the spiritual teachings of AA’s 12 Steps. Through these teachings and treatments, we offer patients the tools and foundation to live sober after leaving High Watch.

Your generous donation will benefit our Bill Wilson charity bed fund to support those who would otherwise not be able to afford treatment. This past year High Watch Recovery Center was able to give away over $2 million in free care thanks to donations.
