Rick’s daughter, Amanda’s, fight to beat Cancer!

To know Rick Tankersley is to love him. He has generously given his time and resources to the community, positively impacting the lives and careers of so many, especially locally. Despite going through so much in his personal life for decades, he still lights up a room with his fun-loving personality and incredible sense of humor. Rick is a friend to all, a mentor, a brother in Christ, and a beloved father to his two daughters, whom he raised on his own and loves more than anything!!

Some of you may know his baby girl Amanda. She was active in our industry until she fell sick a year ago. Rick and Amanda received the most devastating news when they finally discovered her cancer: Stage 3 Lymphoma. Doctors immediately put her on a very aggressive chemotherapy regimen that is administered every two weeks for six months.

At first, she thought she could work to maintain an income, but that has become impossible because of the pain and sickness caused by the treatments. Recently, she has been hospitalized twice due to complications, leaving her unable to work or function normally. She is in great spirits despite relocating to live in an RV in Houston to be close to MD Anderson Hospital.

Amanda (28) is Rick's youngest child and as children do, she has his whole heart.

This is being created without her knowledge to support Rick, who has SELFLESSLY been there for his girls, and countless others for decades. Everything helps toward the cost of her treatment and keeps her near the best Cancer Center in Houston.

Alone, we can help a little. But together, we can change A LOT!
