Rickshaw Run 2024 - Raising Money for Cool Earth

Hi all - Roy, Oded, and Sean here.

This September, we're going on the journey of a lifetime to race a rickshaw (essentially a glorified lawnmower with wheels and a steering wheel) through the Himalayas in India with an organization called the Adventurists. Our adventure will take us through more than 1000km over mountain passes, through river crossings, and into remote villages, forcing us along the way to face our challenges head-on. The three of us have been dreaming of and planning this adventure for years and we're so excited to start in less than a month! You can see a little more of what we're expecting to encounter here. Our goal is to use our adventure as a platform to raise money to combat global warming by supporting the charity Cool Earth.

Cool Earth backs, supports, and listens to the people living in rainforests around the world. Indigenous peoples and local communities have lived in balance with rainforest for thousands of years and are the real rainforest experts. The charity is rated extremely high in terms of its impact measurement. As avid outdoorsy people, Roy, Sean, and Oded fully support a charity that aims to protect the Earth's natural resources.

Our journey starts in the city of Leh, in the region of Ladakh in the Himalayas on September 1 and we will be making our way down to Jaisalmer in Rajasthan over the course of 14 days.
