Ricky's Fight Against Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer
Donation protected
Some of you may or may not know Ricardo Layug. For his coworkers at Mills Peninsula Hospital, we know him as a hardworking certified nursing assistant, humble and caring person. We see Ricky and we know it’ll be a good shift. Ricky is in the patient's room the moment a patient clicks their call light. He helps everyone even when he is not asked. He takes care of 30+ patients every night, even when it's busy, he never complains. He is also a great husband and a father of three.
“Ricky saved my butt one night. I was admitting a rather large angry patient, he grabbed my arm and was pulling me onto the bed. Physically I was no match but Ricky sprang into action. A real life hero” -Star Roman
Ricky was recently diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. Since it's at a late stage, surgery is no longer an option. He will be going through chemotherapy and radiation to slow down the progression of the disease. The money we collect will go directly to Ricky to spend on his treatments and other personal needs. He will not be working, so this money will also help him and his family during his extended leave from work.
If you cannot donate at this time but are reading this, please share and keep Ricky in your prayers because we know how powerful those are. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and God bless.
