Riddel's Warehouse Conservation Project
Hearth Historic Buildings Trust is a charity which operates throughout Northern Ireland with a mission to rescue and restore historic buildings at risk for the enjoyment and benefit of all.
Riddel’s Warehouse on Ann Street is our current conservation-led regeneration project at the heart of Belfast. It is one of the most remarkable survivals from industrial 19th century Belfast and is a unique B+ listed, four-storey ironmongery warehouse built for John Riddel & Co in 1867 to the designs of Thomas Jackson.
The momentum is building! Since 2014, we've been working tirelessly to prevent further decay and have held over 50 meanwhile use events in the warehouse. We have recently received funding approval from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and our design team has been appointed which is very exciting.
Now we need your help to bring Riddel’s Warehouse back to life. Your donation will contribute to transforming this amazing space into a dynamic, not-for-profit centre for creativity, featuring a café, performance area, exhibition space and collaborative workspaces.
Phase One: Unblock the Ground Floor Windows and Open up the Space.
While the Heritage Fund is generously backing us, we still need to raise 30% match funding. Your contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference to helping us unblock the front windows and doors and bring the front of the Warehouse back into use. These spaces will be used for community engagement and will be available for the community to book for their own purposes. It will also make a significant difference to the reanimation of Ann Street.
THANK YOU!
