Ride 4 Aiden #736
Donation protected

Aiden was in California with his dad and some friends to ride some LACR MX on Saturday, 9/18. Aiden and his dad, Aaron, had been riding the track together. Aaron decided to take a break and was watching Aiden. As Aiden completed the first lap, his bike kicked sideways off a small single jump out of a sweeping corner. This caused his bike to swap sideways and he crashed. Aaron was right there and watched the whole thing. He was the first one to Aiden’s side. Aiden was unconscious and eventually started breathing on his own, but didn’t regain consciousness. He was rushed to the hospital where they discovered a significant brain bleed on his left side. He was taken into surgery to remove a portion of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain. Once stable he was transferred to the children’s hospital an hour away.
There have been some scary moments, but Aiden is strong and is doing better than expected at this point. He has started to move his limbs and body more, squeezing hands, giving thumbs up and blinking when asked.
As a family we want to thank all of the first responders at the track who got to him quickly and helped get him to the hospital and cheered him on as he entered the ER. A big thank you to the doctors and nurses at both hospitals who have given and continue to give him such excellent care. We can’t forget all of the friends, family, strangers and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the neighborhood near the hospital that have helped out. People are good and we have all shed tears of gratitude for all of the prayers, love and support our family, especially Aiden and his parents have received.
THANK YOU!
