Ride to South Africa

Hi, My name is Sarena Eaton. I am a rising junior at Marathon High School in Marathon, NY where I am a member of Student Council, Band (viola), Marching Band (drumline), Jazz Band (bass guitar), indoor and outdoor track. I am a member of National Honor Society and hope to further my education in Chemistry post high-school.

I have shown Morgan Horses in Saddle Seat Equitation from a young age and a life-time goal has been to make Team USA. In the past I have held Multiple Regional (New England Morgan, Southern States Regional and New York Morgan Regional) Grand National, World and Reserve World Titles. In 2021, I was awarded the UPHA Jr. Challenge Cup Sportsmanship trophy by my peers.

In 2023, I was named to the US Saddle Seat Association Three Gaited Team. My team competed in New Orleans this June and has now been invited to South Africa to represent the United States in International Competition. The competition will take place in December 2023.

I am honored to be given the opportunity to represent both our country and our community as we compete against some of the best International Riders. To be able to compete at this event; however, I need your support. I would not be here without all of you, Marathon, Cortland County and the Morgan Horse Community.
