Ride Against Time for MND: 350 Miles in 24 Hours
The 4Ed Cycle returns this summer as a group of current and former players, led by Gloucester Rugby Legend Billy Twelvetrees, cycle from Kingsholm Stadium to Mattolli Woods Welford Road, to Twickenham via Milton Keynes RFC, and back again - this time within 24 hours. The 4Ed Cycle made it's debut appearance in summer 2022 following Ed's diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Ed along with former teammates and friends including Lewis Ludlow, Fraser Balmain, Charlie Sharples, Jim Hamilton and Billy Twelvetrees took on the mammoth 350-mile cycle across three days.
All funds raised from the gruelling challenge will be split between 4Ed, Rob Burrow Discretionary Trust, My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) and Matt Hampson's Get Busy living Centre.
MND has no cure and no treatment. Time is off the essence.
Support Billy and the riders as they look to make every second count, raising against the clock to complete the 350 miles, and make a difference to those living with MND.
Billy will be leaving Kingsholm Stadium Fan Zone on Monday 19 August at 8am before returning 24 hours later. Supporters are encouraged to come see Billy and the riders off as they head towards Leicester.
This fundraiser has been organised by Edward Slater, who will be the recipient of this money. After being transferred to Ed's bank account the money is being distributed between the causes mentioned above by Edward Slater.
