Riders4Rights Spring Mutual Aid Fundraiser

We are Riders4Rights, a Black-led mutual aid group based in Brooklyn, NY. We work in Crown Heights, BedStuy, and Brownsville and help provide free resources to our community.

 

On the last Saturday of each month, we host a Community Giveback Day. We give away free groceries, hot food, clothing, hygiene products, books, toys, and more at each event to anyone who needs it. Much of which is sourced from the community and redistributed. This fundraiser will raise enough to get us through the next 3 months (March, April, and May) of mutual aid events and cover our expenses.

 

Here is our monthly budget breakdown:

Fresh Produce: 500

Groceries + Non Perishables: 500

Hot Food: 250

Transportation / Uhaul: 250

Misc. community projects and expenses: 500

Total: $2,000

3 month total: $6,000

 

We also host donation drives, community cleanups, art activities, food rescues, educational events and more in addition to Giveback Day. Any excess funds will go to supporting these future events.
