Riders of Charity (ROC) 2022: 'Wild Atlantic Way'
Donation protected
In February 2019 my mother passed away from Vascular Dementia. I wanted to raise money and awareness of Alzheimer's but was unsure how or what to do. When I passed my motorbike license in December 2019, it suddenly hit me what I needed to do. My mum was a Rocker in the 1960's, she always spoke so fondly about her motorbike days. It just made sense to do something with Motorbikes.
In early 2020 I founded Riders of Charity (ROC), planning a 3000-mile ride that took in the most scenic roads between Lands End and John O'Groats. I set myself a target of £500 and expected maybe 3 or 4 people to join me. In the end we had almost 25 bikes a day and raised £8826. This money was divided equally between Mind UK and Alzheimer's Society.
Our 2022 campaign sees our big adventure taking us to Ireland and the 'Wild Atlantic Way'.
This year we are raising money for: Alzheimer's Society, The Stroke Association, Air Ambulance UK and Mental Health Motorbike. All funds raised will be divided equally between them,
The ride is open to all Motorbike riders, you will just be responsible for your own costs and safety. All I ask is that you donate to our cause if you are riding with us. If you do not ride, please consider supporting us with a donation. You will be kept up to date with regular posts and videos from our adventures.
Many thanks
