Riding for a Cure: Honoring Mylette
Tax deductible
My name is Tyler and I am a bike rider and racer for Holy Cow Racing here in Golden Colorado! In 2025, I am running a year long fundraiser to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The favorite charity of my late mother, Mylette, who lost her fight with breast cancer when I was only four years old back in 2003. She was only 32 years old.
22 years later, I am now 25. I feel more motivated than ever to continue the fight against breast cancer in her name. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is focused on finding medical solutions to cancer rather than awareness. For my mother, the chance of a new treatment that could save her and others life was far more important than everyone being aware of her diagnosis. Another day is another gift.
So far during my riding career, as much as I have loved racing, I have learned that riding for a purpose gives meaning to every mile you travel and every achievement big and small in the sport. During 2025 my purpose will be to push my limits, all while supporting a cause I care a lot about.
For every mile I ride, I will personally be pledging .25cents per mile. I will donate periodically and track miles on Strava. It is my hope that we can also grow the fundraiser beyond myself and get that number closer to a dollar per mile!
So if you see the pink spots out in the peloton this year, say hi! And please do consider supporting this important cause as well.
