Riker Stippick emergency and medical expenses
Donation protected
Please support the Stippick family after unexpected tragedy struck on February 5th while in New York celebrating their son, Riker's, 10th birthday.
While visiting the 9/11 Memorial, Riker developed a terrible headache and soon began vomiting and seizing. He was rushed to the pediatric ICU at Bellevue in New York City. The CT scan shows a significant bleed in a "very delicate part of the brain."
They have drilled a hole in his skull to drain the fluid/blood in order to relieve pressure. He has dealt with hypothermia and spikes in temperature, blood pressure, and intracranial pressure in less than 24 hours. He is currently intubated and sedated.
Riker's parents, David and Hillary, are by his side in NYC waiting for answers and praying for healing. Their growing expenses include: an unexpected extended stay in NYC, growing hospital bills, cost of potential medical transfer back to Austin as soon as possible, missed work, childcare for their two young daughters, and future therapies / medical care.
David is a hospital chaplain and pastor, and Hillary is an elementary assistant principal. As helping professionals, their ability to face the mounting medical debt is impossible without the additional support of community aid.
Please consider a donation to this fund as a tangible way to love and care for Riker and their family. No parent should have to face what they are facing, much less worry about the financial cost of it.
