Riley is an active,jovial,loving and normally upbeat child who unfortunately was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome at his age,he is tough,however, enduring any Medical Condition is a burden on the beauty and journey of childhood. We are here to assist and get him the help he needs so he can get back to just simply being a child,growing, playing video games and doing the things he loves. Riley and his family reside in The Bahamas,so I created this platform on behalf of his Father to liason as these options are not available in the country and his Medical Date fastly approaching. I have COntact information,medical information, verification and more if necessary for all of our presumed Donors & Heroes.

What causes nephrotic syndrome?

Nephrotic syndrome happens when you have a disease that damages the filters in your kidneys causes them to not work as they should. There are primary and secondary causes of nephrotic syndrome.

Primary causes of nephrotic syndrome are diseases that affect only the kidneys.

The most common primary cause of nephrotic syndrome in adults is a disease called focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). The only way to know for sure whether you have FSGS is to get a kidney biopsy. Even when treated, most people with FSGS will eventually develop kidney failure and will need to start dialysis or have a kidney transplant to live. After transplant, there is still a chance that FSGS will return and that you may lose your new kidney.
