Riley Haynes' Brave Fight

Donation protected
Chris and Dawn Haynes are a family very near and dear to my family and me.  Unfortunately, they have been battling a cancer diagnosis over the course of this last year for their son, Riley. For those of you who know this family, you know how extraordinary they are and the lives they have touched. They’re the kind of family you meet and instantly fall in love with! Truly, the kindest souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Last July, Riley, now a Sophomore at North High School, was diagnosed with Nodular Lymphocyte-Predominate Hodgkin Lymphoma (NLPHL). Riley had surgery and received treatments at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis; spent several months recovering, only to learn recently the same cancer has returned, but now in both sides of his neck. Having said that, the process begins again; another cycle of chemo, then radiation, all of which will be 3 hours away at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis. Seeing people you love go through such a difficult emotional, physical, and financial hardship is heartbreaking. There are tears, hugs, hope, fear and many conversations and details about the numerous adjustments to work and school schedules, meals, travel arrangements, insurance claims, medical bills, extended hotel stays, and mental well-being of the entire family. We pray and hope we can help eliminate some of the stress and anxiety of everyday life so my friends can solely focus on Riley and his well-being. One thing I know for sure, this family has love and support in their corner as I’ve seen firsthand the people in this community coming together to pray and help as much as possible throughout the course of this past year. For those of you wishing to help alleviate some of the financial and daily burdens, please give what you can.  Every little bit will help.  Please know, if you are unable to donate at this time, especially in these unprecedented times we’re in, your prayers, alone, mean the world.

Riley, you’re one of the strongest, most selfless people I know. Keep smiling, and God will handle the rest. You got this!
