Riley James Clare Eagle Scout Project

Hi! I am Riley James Clare of Troop 130 Bayport, New York. I am currently fundraising for my Eagle Scout Project which is to help restore the Eastern Bluebird population. Through the Connetquot State River Park I will be installing 20 Blue Bird Boxes for the restoration of the New York State Bird's Population, the Eastern Blue Bird. They had recently been removed from the endangered species list, meaning they would lose all government funding that was necessary for survival. They are famously known as the blue colored birds who sing beautiful songs in Disney movies, they eat many insects including ticks and mosquitoes, and they are our New York State bird that is overtaken by unnatural predators like sparrows and swallows. This was an issue brought to my attention from my grandparents and I am very happy to be in a position to help this situation. Any donations towards this project would mean so much to me and the people involved in this project. I can't wait to start helping through this project as soon as I can afford the supplies. My hope is to begin the project in early July and to complete in August/September. Thank you!
