Riley Parker Recovery

If you have the pleasure of knowing Riley Parker you know that he is a father to three beautiful girls and husband to Ashlyn. Riley has worked at OMH for 11 years; he is an energetic, friendly face that is willing to help anyone out. Unfortunately, Riley was in a car accident on July 26th, 2023 and at this time the extent of his injuries is unknown.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help alleviate some of the financial burden for Ashlyn and the family as they support Riley on his journey to recovery.

July 27, 2023 Update:

Riley is currently in surgery having his femur repaired. He has multiple rib breaks and fractures in his chest and has bruising and bleeding on his neck and brain. They are unsure of how severe this is as they are still waiting to do an MRI.

July 28, 2023 Update:

Riley's surgery for his femur went really well and he was stable throughout the night.

July 31, 2023 Update:

Just wanted to give you an update on Riley's progress over the weekend. Riley has a frontal lobe concussion that will give him some short-term trouble. He is still on the ventilator and they are closely monitoring him to make sure he doesn't develop pneumonia. Although the doctors are confident that he will be able to breathe on his own in the next few days. They continue to sedate Riley because when he is conscious he moves around too much which is not giving his neck any chance to heal. Please continue to keep Riley and his family in your thoughts.

August 2, 2023 Update:

Riley has had some amazing success in the past two days. His ventilator and chest tubes are out and he has been able to have small conversations. He was able to walk 5 meters today and has been cleared for 2 visitors at a time. They are hoping to discharge him from the ICU in the next 48 hours.
