Rincon Water Safety Organization

Rincon Water Safety is dedicated to protecting and saving lives on the beaches of Puerto Rico. Our goal is to raise $300,000 to establish a lifeguard program at the iconic beaches of Sandy Beach, Domes, and Marías. This initiative will be implemented in stages to ensure each beach receives the necessary support and safety measures.
We are proud to announce that Rincon Water Safety is in the process of being recognized as a chapter of the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA), making us the only USLA chapter in Puerto Rico. The USLA is America's nonprofit, professional association of beach lifeguards and open water rescuers. Its mission is to reduce the incidence of death and injury in the aquatic environment through public education, the establishment of national lifeguard standards, training programs, and the promotion of high levels of lifeguard readiness.
Our plan is to begin with Rincón and then expand our efforts to the rest of the island, starting with the most dangerous locations such as Isabela, Luquillo, Fajardo, and San Juan. Thanks to the initiatives of Rincon Water Safety, there have been no drownings in 2024. In contrast, the average number of drownings in Rincón in previous years was five per year.
By supporting Rincon Water Safety, you are contributing to a safer environment for locals and visitors alike, ensuring that our beautiful beaches remain a secure and enjoyable destination for all. Your generous donation will help us train and deploy professional lifeguards, empower our community through education, and significantly decrease the risk of drowning incidents in our waters. Together, we can make a difference and save lives.
