Rindy Coolbeth

Hello! My name is Brittnee and I am putting together this GoFundMe page for my mother-in-law, Rindy Coolbeth. During the month of January, Rindy got sick with the flu which cause her to be sick in bed for weeks. She then went to her Primary Care Doctor and had some labs drawn, which is where her medical battle started. She got a call that she needed to go to the nearest Emergency Room because her Hemoglobin levels were dangerously low and she needed to get a blood transfusion. This stay resulted in multiple transfusions to get her Hemoglobin up enough for her to be discharged. She then went for another follow-up with her Primary Care Doctor and her levels were still not good, this visit resulted in a referral to Oncology. On January 31st, Rindy was seen at DHMC Oncology and was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer that forms in her white blood cells or the plasma cells, this is a cancer that there is no cure for. This visit resulted in another hospital admission with lots of tests, scans and the start of treatment to include Chemo-Therapy.

With this new diagnosis, Rindy has not been feeling her best which has affected her ability to work. She currently does not have insurance and we are working through the process to get her some coverage. Also, with this new diagnosis, Rindy has medications that she needs and she has appointments weekly that she needs to attend, which also affects her ability to work. As her family, we are trying to get her some help. This diagnosis was a shock to Rindy, her family and her support system.

These funds will be used for her medical expenses such as medical bills and medications and just to help her through this hard time of the start of treatment.

We truly appreciate all of the love and support she has received thus far. Rindy has a long road ahead of her but she is the strongest woman that I know.
