Este año ha sido difícil con todo lo que está sucediendo en el mundo y Honduras al igual que otros países de Centroamérica han sido afectados por el Huracán Eta y ahora Huracán Iota. 

Debido a la cantidad de lluvia y a causa de los vientos fuertes nuestra familia ha sido afectada. La casa de Avilio Velasquez y Bertilia Gonzales en Rio Negro ha sido consumida por un fuego debido a un incendio en horas de la madrugada el 17 de noviembre dejándose sin hogar. Gracias a Dios ellos pudieron salir de la casa sin daños físicos, pero materialmente casi toda la casa quedó destruida. Fotos despues del incendio.

Nosotros, la familia y amigos de Avilio y Bertilia, estamos tratando de colectar una buena cantidad de dinero para poder ayudar a reconstruir la casa y ayudarles a sobre llevar las pérdidas sufridas. Ellos debido a la pandemia y los huracanes no tienen un trabajo estable que genere los suficientes ingresos para recuperarse de este golpe. También no tienen seguro de propiedad.

La familia se merece lo mejor!! Ellos han brindado su calor hogareño con amor para cada uno de los visitantes el cual no tiene precio. Avilio y Bertilia han servido muchas personas con su hospitalidad y amistad durante los años. Ahora es tiempo de servir a ellos.

Nuestra familia ya ha aportado su apoyo y queremos recaudar otro $10,000 para ayudar a reconstruir su casa y sus bienes perdidos.

No hay nada que devuelva el significado de objetos perdidos. Sabemos también el costo de materiales para la construcción es muy alto en la zona. El acarreo de materiales será difícil por la destrucción de calles en la comunidad. El precio de combustible todo se elevará como es costumbre por la escasez que atraen estos desastres.

 Aparte no es fácil superar este tipo de incidentes pero que sabemos con la ayuda de Jehová Dios y la unidad familiar junto a amigos se logrará lo acordado. Avilió y Bertilia no están solos. Hoy la familia se une en un mismo sentir y unidos en oración pediremos al Señor tanto porque les de fortaleza para seguir adelante como para que su cobertura alcance a toda la familia dentro y fuera del país y superemos entre todos cada obstáculo.

United to Serve

This year has been difficult with everything that is happening around the world. Honduras along with other Central American countries has been affected by Hurricane Eta and now Hurricane Iota.

As a result of the enormous amount of rain and strong winds our family has been affected. The farm house of Avilio Velasquez and Bertilia Gonzales in Rio Negro was consumed by fire in the early morning of the 17th of November leaving them without a house. We thank God that they were able to leave the house without any physical injuries but for all practical purposes the house is completely destroyed. Photos After the Fire .

We, the family and friends of Avilio and Bertilia, are trying to collect a good amount of money to be able to help with the reconstruction of the house and help them replace the many items they lost. Because of the pandemic and now these back to back hurricanes they don’t have sufficient income to recover from this blow. They also do not have property insurance.

This family deserves the best! They have opened their warm home with love for every one of their visitors. Avilio and Bertilia have served many people with their hospitality and friendship over the years. Now it is time to serve them.

Our family has already pledged their support and we are hoping to raise an additional $10,000 to help them rebuild.

While there is nothing that can replace the meaning of the items they have lost, this financial support will be very helpful. We also know that the cost of construction materials in this area is very high. The transportation of materials up the mountain will be difficult because of the recent damage to the roads in the area. The price of gas is also likely to rise which is often the case during these kinds of disasters.

While it isn’t easy to recover from these kinds of incidents, we know that with the help of God and the unity of family and friends we will reach the goal. Avilio and Bertilia are not alone. Today the family has come together in agreement to share this with family and friends inside and outside the country. We pray that God give strength to continue forward and overcome every obstacle.
