Rio Vista Police Explorer POST #285

Rio Vista Police Explorer Post #285 is a youth group interested in learning about law enforcement. Youth from the ages of 14-21 participate in monthly meetings, participate in law enforcement training and even assist in public events. In 2014, the assisted with traffic control as the AMGEN Tour went through Rio Vista and with the Rio Vista Bass Festival. The program is a part of the Boy Scouts Learning for Life program.
The Rio Vista Police Department has sponsored an explorer post off and on since the 1980's. Several explorers have gone on to work as police officers or other jobs in the law enforcement field. After several years of no program in place, RVPD Post #285 started up as a new group at the end of 2014.
RVPD Post#285 needs help fundraising for uniforms, boots, jackets, training equipment and a field trip to Los Angeles. Please help our fantastice group of kids reach their goal.
