On July 19, 2022, at the age of 52, our brother and uncle went home to heaven, after a long hard battle with several illnesses.
He was a great uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was also so much like our dad and mom; crazy, fun, funny, cool, happy, serious. But most of all, always so helpful and willing to give you his last, no matter where it left him in life.
While Joey was younger he accomplished so much: Future Leaders of America, ASB President (Colton High, SBVC, ASU), Bachelors Degree (ASU), and traveled the world.
At the age of 16/17, Joey was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. About 11 years ago the prolonged use of diabetic medicine caused him to need dialysis, and his health declined. Joey would have several heart attacks, strokes, and other emergency visits.
Ultimately it would be him being tired that would cause him to pass on.
We will miss him so much.
