RIP Kidisti Teklay Debessay

My name is Aman Habte and I'm from Phoenix, AZ. I am part of the Eritrean Community here in Arizona and we all have been greatly impacted by the loss of a God-fearing, beautiful and caring Eritrean woman yesterday evening (12/10/2020). 

Kidisti Teklay Debassay dedicated her life to taking care of her husband, children and her loved ones in Eritrea. Not only did she go above and beyond for her family but also the Eritrean community in Phoenix, AZ. Unfortunately, Mama Kidisti has been a victim to this pandemic and this unexpected loss remains shocking to her loved ones and the entire Phoenix Community. 

During this difficult time, its important to remember that you can help out her family as we come together as a unit and donate anything that is possible as funeral and medical expenses will arise from this tragic situation and therefore; we are asking everyone to assist with finance to cover Mama Kidisti's medical and funeral expenses. Although in the habesha community, we all come together to mourn the loss of the individual and at the same time contribute/donate financially, COVID has made it difficult to do so due to the strict social distance regulations. 

We’ve started a go fund me account to support her and her family. Once we complete our mission to raise as much as possible, I, along with the community will be able to give her family the funds necessary to cover these expenses. We sincerely appreciate everything that everyone has done since the tragic evening of December 10, 2020.
