Help Pay Rip's Emergency Vet Bill

On Tuesday, July 26th, 2022, my friend's rescue dog, 2-year-old Rip, suffered a significant break to his elbow after accidentally falling from the second-story window of his home in Saint John, New Brunswick. We believe that Rip noticed a cat and lunged through the window screen, falling approximately 30 feet onto a brick patio. Rip's mom, Riley, rushed him to the nearest emergency vet clinic, where she found out that Rip needed major reconstructive surgery to repair his shattered elbow. Once he was transferred to the Riverview Emergency Animal Hospital to be further assessed and eventually operated on, Riley was given the medical quote, which was quite substantial and difficult to come up with in a short period of time. With the cost of surgery, medication, and Rip's overnight stays pre and post-surgery amounting near $7000, I decided to create this Go Fund me to help my friend Riley with this tragic and sudden accident.

Riley rescued Rip in December 2021 after he was placed on the euthanasia list in Beaumont, Texas. Ever since his rescue, Riley and Rip have been inseparable, doing everything together and quickly becoming her family. Avid hikers, Riley and Rip would adventure through various trails together. This surgery is imperative to maintain his quality of life and amputation was not recommended for a dog of his stature.
