RIP Shanna Davis

On Wednesday June 29 at 4:30pm the world lost a beautiful soul.  Shanna’s family is in such shock and grieving so heavily from losing her so suddenly. 4 weeks ago Shanna went to the Dr because she was in so much pain in her lower back. She was sent home with antibiotics for what she was told was a UTI and kidney stones, one week later she was no better and in more pain than before so she went back to the ER. They did a CAT scan and she was told she had 2 large masses along with several other smaller ones on her lungs. They made appointments for Oncology, Biopsies, PET scans, blood work etc etc. They were fairly certain it was small cell lung cancer based on the scan but she wasn’t stronger enough to make thru the biopsy to confirm it. It went from chemo being an option, to you may make it thru the end of the year, to you are looking at 2-3 months, to we need just make her comfortable within just a couple of days. Shanna was the life of every party. She was always ready to plan the next get together, party, or vacation. She made the best charcuterie boards and guacamole!! She loved her 3 children but being a grandmother was her favorite thing in life! With the emotional stress and grief of losing a loved one also comes the unexpected financial obligations that no ones ever prepared for. I am setting up this GoFundMe page in the hopes that it will help ease some of the financial burden off of the family, a family I also call my own.
