Support for Sol Fest fire victim

It’s crazy how you can go from one of the best days of your life to one of the worst days of your life. As many of you have heard and seen swarm the internet, early Sunday morning at Sol Fest in Ponce De Leon FL, tragedy struck when a car caught fire in the campgrounds and the fire spread to the cars next to it. Unfortunately one of those was mine. Thankfully I was at the music when the fire started, but as I rode my bike back to camp I heard someone say “fire in GA camping check on your friends” and as someone pointed to the flames in the sky my stomach sank and I quickly realized it was in the general area of my campsite. When I arrived on the scene, I was devestated to see my GMC Yukon was one of the cars completely engulfed in flames. Along with allll of my most favorite clothes (normal and festival), all of my day and LED hoops, valuable possessions, personal items, 11 years of festival collections and trinkets, all my camping gear, the list goes on and on. Just… gone. Not to mention my whole car which was also my tow vehicle for my camper. I’m grateful to be alive to type this post as I was going to head back to camp for a nap (in the backseat of my Yukon) around the time when the fire started but for some reason never ended up leaving the music. I now know why, and grateful is an understatement. But as for everything else, I’m completely devastated. I will be setting up a go fund me soon, as my insurance has confirmed they will not cover it It’s hard (for me esp) to accept help, I don’t even know what I need or where to start, I’m still processing the fact this even happened. Still realizing more things that were lost. I’m grateful no one was hurt in this incident and my heart goes out to all who had to witness and we’re effected by this tragic event. But the continuous love and support of this community has been such a beautiful thing to see and experience.
