Rise & Thrive: 3,000KM & 300,000LBS for Mental Health
Two Challenges. One Mission. A Movement for Mental Health.
We are Natalie Macdonald and Bob Pond, and together, we are dedicating 30 days in May 2025 to raising awareness for mental health through Rise & Thrive.
Natalie is cycling 3,000KM.
Bob is lifting 300,000LBS.
Our goal is to show that mental health, like physical health, requires resilience, consistency, and support. Every kilometer and every pound represents the strength it takes to navigate mental health challenges, and we are doing this to start conversations, break the stigma, and ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles.
Why We’re Doing This
Mental health affects us all.
Through our work—Natalie as a therapist and executive consultant, and Bob as an athletic therapist—we have seen firsthand how struggles with anxiety, depression, and burnout impact lives. Whether it’s an athlete recovering from injury, an executive facing relentless pressure, or someone navigating personal trauma, mental health is deeply intertwined with every aspect of life.
As co-hosts of Rise & Thrive, we are using this platform to educate, inspire, and advocate for real change.
The Challenge: Strength in Every Struggle
Natalie’s Ride: 3,000KM on the bike over 30 days, representing the long and often difficult road to mental wellness.
Bob’s Feat: Lifting 300,000LBS throughout the month, symbolizing the weight that so many carry mentally every day.
This journey is about more than just numbers—it’s about showing that progress happens one step, one rep, one ride at a time.
